Our families wanted to have some meaningful keepsakes of our elderly parents in order to capture our family story. It was a real delight to find Noel and the service that he offers that provided exactly what we were looking for.
We asked Noel to film my parents when they were starting to decline in their mental and physical capacities. Thankfully they were able to tell stories and recollect their by-gone days and their favorite memories.
Noel spent time with us beforehand asking questions about mum and dad. He asked very relevant questions, allowing dad and mum to feel comfortable during the filming process. In fact, my parents enjoyed the whole process and were looking forward to Noel’s return and finished product.
Noel used old family photo albums as a means of recalling past days and as conversation starters. This also introduced us to the wider family. It was surprising to us that we would learn so much about our parents through this process.
The background music and favorite tunes of my parents was most appropriate. This complemented the stories well, as did the photos of historical significance.
Since these videos were taken, my parents' health has deteriorated. What a joy it is now to be able to see and hear them reflect on the good old, bad old days.
When my parents do pass away, I know I’ll use some of the footage at their service to help people understand what beautiful people they were.
Whenever I view these videos, I realise how blessed we are to have them and what a wonderful investment they are.
Noel was able to create a real treasure that can be enjoyed by ongoing generations of our family.
